I'm wanting to rebuild this 350 that I have that i want to put in my S10. First off, it came with the low performance smog heads, those I've more or less ditched, and have the short block up onthe stand. Took the bottom end down partialy, found two spun rod bearings so far, all else seems to be fine, but not taken any of the rest of it apart yet. What I originaly wanted to do I can't do for now.... I hate that it is that way, but... What can I say... Anyway, so here's sorta my plan. I called a machine shop, got some prices on machine work and such. So here's what I have in mind:
-Turn the crank 10/10 and get Clevite 77 Tri Metal bearings
-Line hone the mains and run main studs along with a windage tray, also use Clevite 77 Tri Metal bearings
-I need to get the front of the motor torn down and check the cam to see if that needs line hone too, if not then, have the cam bearings replaced, any suggestions?
-I'm wanting to punch the block .030, and run these: http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/ff60/hotrodderBB/70%20duster/   the link is for reference purposes
-Top end wise I'm looking to do something like: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=EDL%2D2098&FROM=MG again, link is for reference purposes
-I will want to run an aluminum water pump, and an aluminum radiator with electric fan assembly

More to follow... But this should give an idea to what I'm looking to do.... So, questions, comments, concerns?
